The Shrek animation still looks good, and is up to point, and specifically modernises early 2001. The animation is a family adventure, suitable for all ages, specifically using modernised animation techniques for 2000, and has a good storyline with charming pieces in between the scenes. 
The jokes in the animation are also funny and good taste for presents and kids, and the soundtracks are good for singing along with.
